FAQ
What is EMDR?EMDR (short for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful trauma therapy. It involves the use of bilateral stimulation, such as eye movement, to help clients reprocess their trauma and heal from it. Reprocessing memories allows clients to let go of beliefs about themselves and/or the world that have been limiting them.Is EMDR the only therapy that you provide? Not at all! My approach to therapy is dynamic and collaborative; it is not a one-size-fits-all process. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), coherence therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and more. During the treatment planning process and throughout therapy, my clients and I work together to determine the approaches that are best for them. What insurance do you accept?AetnaCredentialing with insurance companies is a lengthy process. If you do not see your insurance provider listed above, check back from time to time! I will continuously update this list as I panel with more managed care organizations.I want to use my insurance to help pay for therapy, but you're not in my network! What should I do?Contact your insurance company's customer support and ask about out-of-network benefits. Many people have insurance plans that cover some or all of their out-of-network (OON) healthcare costs, usually once they reach their OON deductible. In these cases, you would pay the full fee for your visits, and the practice will provide you with a superbill. You would then send the superbill to your insurance company, and they will reimburse you based on the terms of your plan. What is your fee?My out-of-pocket full fee is $170 per session.I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots on my caseload, with eligibility based upon individual financial circumstances._________________________If you have a question that isn't answered here, feel free to shoot me an email at [email protected]
